Sandbox primarily focuses on build outs for Swell Spark's axe throwing brand, Blade & Timber; escape rooms; and Swell Spark's new mini golf bar concept, Sinkers Lounge.
Sandbox's projects include custom furniture and experience-based fabrications.
Sandbox is looking for a team member that loves to create with their hands, bringing ideas to life on the shop's production floor.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Set up and operate woodworking machines including:
saws, milling machines, drill presses, lathes, routers, sanders, planers, and wood-fastening machines Cut and shape wooden parts, and verify dimensions Assemble custom fabricated parts based on shop drawings Fabricates, assembles, and finishes custom metal projects via various metal fabrication processes (i.
e.
, cutting, welding, gluing, shearing, bending, etc.
) Prepares metal by sanding and using Bondo for paint finishing Reads and scales shop drawings Works safely in and around a fabrication shop environment Enjoys working in a creative, problem solving manufacturing environment Assist in material procurement for production projects Contribute to production design and problem solving Maintain a clean and organized shop Support on-site installations through planning and on-site work Perform other duties and projects as assigned PREFERRED SKILLS &
Qualifications:
Working knowledge of materials best suited for fabrication and finishing Experience working with various shop materials Experienced with power tools Ability to work independently with little supervision Problem solving and troubleshooting skills Experience metal and woodworking production Willingness to travel PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to push/lift 75 pounds Ability to climb ladders Bending at waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, crouching as job may require Job Type:
