Manufacturing Engineer I

Summary:
Provide manufacturing engineering support to operations and product engineering.
Lead Design for Manufacturing (DFM) analysis and provide feedback to design engineering.
ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES:
Identify improvement opportunities and lead the implementation of process improvements to reduce cost, increase quality and repeatability, improve changeover.
Document and maintain work instructions.
Maintain costing, and routing information for parts and assemblies.
Collaborate with Product Engineering to develop and design component processes for new parts and lead the DFM process.
Improve tooling to reduce expenses.
Work with outside suppliers to enhance, improve and solve problems.
Work with design engineering on product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
Execute plant design layouts.
Evaluate process for most cost effective manufacturing process.
SECONDARY DUTIES:
oDesign tools and fixtures to improve the work piece holding capability for assembly and machining processes.
oWrite and execute validation protocols.
oResearch new capabilities for future demand and production needs.
oDevelop tooling for sheet metal and plastic part production.
oParticipate in projects to meet department goals and objectives.
oParticipate in sourcing changes from in-house to supplier and vice versa to meet demand and capability changes.
oProvide guidance among co-opsEDUCATION and/or
Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in engineering preferred and 2-5 years of experience in an engineering role or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
COMPETENCY/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
oExperience with 3D solid modeling skills, Pro/E preferredoAbility to read Bill of MaterialsoProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteoAbility to follow instructions.
oAbility to multitask and problem solveoExperience with an ERP system.
Oracle preferred.
PLM Agile preferred.
oAbility to analyze and interpret dataoAbility to prepare Test Protocols and Test ReportsoAttention to detailoAbility to work independently and collaborativelyoStrong analytical and communication skills (written & verbal)oAbility to read engineering documents Experience with 2D design software, AutoCAD preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
