We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Travel Interventional Radiology Tech to join our team in providing high-quality imaging services in Kansas City, Kansas.
As a Travel Interventional Radiology Tech, you will be responsible for performing various diagnostic and interventional procedures under the guidance of a radiologist, utilizing your technical expertise and knowledge of imaging equipment.
Responsibilities:
Set up and operate imaging equipment for diagnostic and interventional procedures, including x-rays, CT scans, MRI, and ultrasound.
Assist in preparing patients for procedures, including obtaining medical history, explaining the procedure, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Administer contrast materials following established protocols and monitor patient vital signs during procedures.
Position patients appropriately and use radiation protection devices to ensure safety for both patients and staff.
Perform interventional procedures, such as biopsies, fluid drainage, catheter insertions, and angiography, under the guidance of a radiologist.
Evaluate images for quality, clarity, and accuracy, making adjustments as necessary to obtain optimal results.
Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely reports on imaging findings.
Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, ensuring proper functioning and notifying appropriate personnel of any issues.
Requirements:
Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Current certification and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Valid state licensure as a Radiology Technologist in Kansas.
Minimum of two years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Tech, preferably in a travel or contract role.
Proficient in operating and troubleshooting various imaging equipment, including x-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound.
Knowledge of interventional radiology procedures and techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, medical staff, and other healthcare professionals.
Ability to work autonomously and adapt to different healthcare settings.
Willingness to travel to different locations within Kansas City, Kansas, and potentially surrounding areas.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
