The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional with a passion for family law, possessing an in-depth knowledge of legal procedures and a proven track record in family lawThis position involves a high volume of client interaction, court appearances, depositions, and trialsThe successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape their practice and make a significant impact on our clients' lives.
Responsibilities:
Provide legal representation to clients in family law matters including divorce, child custody, spousal support, child support, marital property division, and other related issues.
Conduct legal research and gather evidence to support client's case.
Prepare and draft various legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, motions, appeals, agreements, and more.
Negotiate settlements to resolve disputes amicably and cost-effectively for clients.
Represent clients in court hearings, trials, settlement conferences, and mediation sessions.
Develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
Counsel clients on their legal rights, discuss case strategies, and propose courses of action.
Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions with clients, court personnel, and other professionals.
Stay updated with changes in family law and inform clients about the potential impact on their cases.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
Active member of the Missouri and/or Kansas State Bar.
Minimum of 5
years of experience in family law, with a focus on divorce and child custody cases.
Managerial experience and willingness to lead is preferred.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop strong client relationships.
