The successful candidate should have 3-5 years machinist experience in an industrial manufacturing facility.
Candidates must be able to set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments.
Additionally, be able to fabricate, modify, or
repair
mechanical instruments to maintain industrial machines.
Candidate must be able to apply knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout and machining procedures.
Successful candidates must be able to work any shift as well as mandatory overtimes.
The hourly wage is $25.40 with a .18 and .21 shift premium. The average salary for this position in 2013 was $76,900 including overtime, although this is not a guarantee for the future.
