Speedway is currently looking for a IT Technician to join the team.
Your daily responsibilities include:
Resolve and track end user software/hardware
computer
problems and work with end users to identify technology needs that will help streamline their business processes
Hardware and software installation and troubleshooting. This includes but not limited to network equipment, computers, printers, Cisco IP phones, time clocks, key control devices, POS and Table View workstations
Cisco IP phone system maintenance including but not limited to moves, adds and changes, along with occasional wire/jack installation and system troubleshooting
Inventory control for all hardware/software; maintain equipment organization to help expedite service
Troubleshoot network connectivity for property systems and maintain network wire management
Profile request administration for network and property systems; Add/change/modify end user access according to department and regulatory policy
Consult with vendors to improve customer service and reduce problems in the environment
Meet department uniform, appearance and grooming requirements.
Meet attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, department and company policies.
Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards, debris and litter.
Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.
Any reasonable request made by your supervisor or any management personnel.
To be successful in this position it will require the following skill set:
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university preffered
Three years of work related experience in desktop computer support in a large network environment
Need to have excellent working knowledge of Windows 7 operating system, networking fundamentals, Microsoft Office 2010 suite, computer hardware, computer image/restoration, Microsoft active directory administration. Cisco IP phones, Micros POS, and Bally ACSC support experience is a plus.
Relevant technical certifications (such as A-Plus) or documented vendor training is preferred
Additional demonstrable knowledge or experience in other IT related areas is preferred, such as IBM iSeries/AS400 operations; Microsoft Exchange Server; Symantec Backup Exec; Microsoft SQL Server; Cisco LAN/WAN administration; and converged voice/data networks (VOIP)
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills are required.
Must be a highly motivated self starter who is eager to contribute to overall departmental and company success.
Must be willing to share night-and-weekend on-call duty as part of the IT department team
Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 50 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spacesEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
