Job Description:
CTS (Cerner Technology Services) is one of the fast growing segments of Cerner's business. CTS primary function is to host, manage and monitor client systems. Additionally CTS provides disaster recovery and temp hosting services for Cerner clients. CTS' remote hosting option (RHO) provides superior performance, security, reliability, and scalability with a lower up-front financial commitment from the client by combining hardware, networking technologies, and technical expertise. It allows healthcare organizations to leverage the most sophisticated and powerful IT solutions available today from our state-of-the-art data centers. Responsible for the infrastructure design and configuration including hardware platform, operating systems, and layered software necessary to enable Cerner's cloud-based solutions. Responsible for identifying new enabling technologies and platforms to help solve technical challenges or limitations in the existing infrastructure. This role is responsible for collaboration, setting infrastructure vision and direction across a matrix of teams including operations and IP development. Provides thought leadership in the design of the infrastructure for data center processes and technologies to meet operations objectives for cloud solutions. Participates in business requirement gathering sessions, gathers user data requirements, understand the user requirements and assist in the reconciliation of technical and business requirements as they relate to cloud. Maintains, governs and enforces cloud architecture-related standards.
Specific Skill Requirements and Essential Job Functions:
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Minimum
Qualifications: Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience Experience supporting production infrastructure (network, compute and storage), including at least 5
years of experience designing and architecting scalable and redundant hosted systems. 3
years experience with Linux and Windows-based systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environment. Highly technical experience with large server and application deployments and virtualization
Preferred
Qualifications: Hands on Cloud Architecture experience, Virtualization Technologies, Server Automation, Operation Orchestration. Understanding of application, servers, and network security technologies. Excellent communicator and collaborator across multiple technical and business stakeholders and leaders. Experience with Dev-Ops environments Experience with Openstack compliant open source cloud computing platforms also a plus

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
