Defect/ Quality Analyst

I. PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Perform dirt defect data analysis to eliminate root causes of dirt in paint data to help improve quality.
II. SCOPE OF WORK:
Responsible for the day-to-day operations of:
Champion of the Dirt in Paint Program
Assure quality counts are completed timely and accurately
Update and Maintain Dirt Notification boards/postings
Collect and Categorize Dirt samples and pictures
Maintain Dirt Library Database with accurate data
Follow program to help determine Root Cause
Assists in developing best practices for construction and cleaning, material quality and process, equipment and maintenance.
Maintains a dirt library with the ability to track historical contamination problems, corrective plans and work instructions.
Assists in developing methodology to diagnose new or re-occurring contamination problems
Assure appropriate chemical feeds and pump operation during production
Assist with the collection of Airflow and Booth Environment Data
Participate in Dirt Studies and Quality Issue Resolution activities
Analyze particle count data to assist in defect root cause analysis
III. GENERAL TASKS:
Review analysis data
Make chemical adjustments to the system
Visual observations of water quality and sludge characteristics
System troubleshoot - assist suppliers and customers
Daily documentation and record keeping
Bring or assist in bringing inoperable equipment back on line
Collect, review and analyze booth environment data
Support maintenance in making adjustments to restore booth balance
IV. EXPECTATIONS:
Perform work in a logical, orderly and skillful manner
Use tools and equipment correctly, efficiently and accurately
Exercise all applicable safety standards
Use analytical problem solving skills to complete required tasks while maintaining a high level of quality workmanship
Accept work assignments that could require additional training to perform
Safeguard company information by observing company security regulations
Be available as needed
Perform hands on duties daily
V. REQUIREMENTS:
Background and education in Forensic Science, Chemistry, Biology, or Biotechnology preferred.

Base Pay $13.00 - $17.00 /Hour
Other Pay excellent benefits
