Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas is looking for a Coordinator of Food Distribution to successfully promote and support the mission of Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas by providing food assistance to individuals and families in need. Oversee the operations of the food distribution, including but not limited to, supervision of food pantry volunteers, purchasing food pantry items, cost and quality control, coordination of food delivery program, monthly statistics and reports as required. Duties:
1. Purchases food for monthly distribution including but not limited to food banks, food suppliers, bulk purchasing and other cost saving opportunities.
2. Travels to area food distribution sites and suppliers to price food and select food products.
3. Solicits donations from area organizations and businesses.
4. Organizes the warehouse for optimal work flow and efficiency.
5. Coordinates logistics related to purchasing and delivery of food items for the pantry.
6. Ability to use all equipment in the warehouse including forklifts, etc.
7. Maintain maintenance logs on cooler, freezer and other machinery in warehouse.
8. Coordinates schedules and gives direction to all volunteers of the pantry including food pantry assistant, and support staff.
9. Coordinates and manages all aspects of monthly and special food packaging.
10. Manages contacts with recipients regarding deliveries and special events.
11. Assists in coordinating food drives with parishes/churches, local community partners, schools, and other organizations.
12. Responds to request for information regarding food distribution in a timely manner.
13. Speaks to various groups to educate them about the purpose and role of the food pantries within Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas and in the community.
14. In consultation with Vice President of Program Operations, advocates for low income families by networking with community partners and becoming active and involved as opportunities become available.
15. Manage the food distribution program as a good steward of Catholic Charities resources. Ensure that all administrative processes related to record-keeping, client files, funding and other administrative issues are done to the highest standards.
16. Ensure all income, expenses and relevant business measures are reported, monitored and achieving budget. Meet monthly with Vice President of Program Operations to review program budget.

18. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1. 2 years of experience supervisory experience working with staff and volunteers and coordinating schedules to achieve a goal
2. Strong communication/presentation skills
3. Solid relationship building skills
4. Certification to operate a forklift and prior experience working in a warehouse
5. Must be able to lift 50 poundsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
