GENERAL OVERVIEW

Serves on a casual basis as an Engineering Technician IV supporting the T4 Program throughout the Central Service Area, based out of T4 Central Region Kansas City, KS.

Moderate Overtime and 100% Travel will be required.


The ideal candidate will have 10
years of professional experience or a combination of experience and related training and perform the following duties:

TYPICAL ASSIGNMENTS

Performs non-routine and complex assignments involving responsibility for planning and conducting a complete project of relatively limited scope or a portion of a larger and more diverse project. Selects and adapts plans, techniques, designs, or layouts. Contacts personnel in related activities to resolve problems and coordinate the work; reviews, analyzes, and integrates the technical work of others. Supervisor or professional engineer outlines objectives, requirements, and design approaches; completed work is reviewed for technical adequacy and satisfaction of requirements. May train and be assisted by lower level technicians. Performs such duties as:

Responsible for review and accuracy of all installation and certification of NAVAIDS and NEXCOMM work within the Central Service Area, or assigned project assignment.


Establishing milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules.



Identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.




Ability to lead and direct the work of the team assigned to the project from technical, engineering, construction and administrative areas.



Serve as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with the customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.





Qualifications
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

5
years of NAVAIDS and NEXCOMM experience
as project lead/or manager, as well as 5
years of related construction experience.


Familiar with Civil and Electrical Engineering Drawings in support of the construction, installation and commissioning of NAVAIDS and NEXCOMM projects.

Moderate overtime required.
Must be able to lift 50lbs

Must be able to become climb certified.


Must have experience in installation, commissioning and Flight Check of NAVAIDS equipment, to include, but not limited to, ILS systems, DME, RVR, GS facilities.


Must have experience in NEXCOMM installation and commissioning for legacy and current NEXCOMM communications equipment, and ancillary related components within the facility and related tower components.



Must be familiar with general construction with a preference for the ability to operate heavy equipment.


Should have experience with Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel & Project.

Experience with Microstation is preferred.

Experience in email and internet usage and the ability to quickly learn new computer programs.

This position requires a security background check by Federal Authorities and m
ust be able to meet customer security requirements (moderate to high risk).

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
