The Position
The Sales Trainer will present and follow through on current inside sales training platform for new hires. The sales trainer will start by becoming familiar with our sales model, Salesforce platform, and customer base. From there, they will continue to refine and execute that system to deliver highly trained consultants and associates to their respective managers at the conclusion of their initial ramp period. They will also identify training opportunities which empower our team to leverage each conversation to its potential and improve the team's efficiency, all while providing the best customer experience in residential solar.
Responsibilities
Maintain and uphold new hire training process and continually innovate to execute the most efficient training ramp for new hires in sales
Maintain current online training modules and job aides, and add new modules as needed
Drive continual improvement on performance metrics for new hires in sales during their respective ramp periods
Analyze key metrics to identify where training will have the maximum impact
Translate recurring new hire challenges and best practices into knowledge assets and training/development modules
Elicit and document barriers to qualification and sale as well as best practices for both
Learn new sales techniques and coordinates with managers to develop ongoing training modules
Qualifications
BA/BS degree is preferred; Psychology or Teaching degree desired
2-4 years of Inside sales and/or lead qualification; Sales management experience is preferred
Excellent instincts for analyzing and coaching team members
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Salesforce CRM
Strong knowledge and passion for solar preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent computer and telephone skills
Excellent organizational skills
Comfortable editing video content
Ability to translate practical application to theory and vice versa
Familiarity with learning management systems and content creation preferred
