Plant Operator / Lead Operator/ Shift Supervisor

POSITION PURPOSE: Responsible for the completion of all shift operational
tasks
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(List major duties and responsibilities)
1. Prioritizing for all aspects of production
2. Personnel team training
3. Fill in for absent or vacationing plant personnel will needed
4. Multi-tasking ability
5. Receiving/ unloading bulk cars & tank cars into inventory
6. Production of batches
7. CIP of all equipment, holding & batching tanks and delivery trailers
8. All related paperwork
9. Must be able to interact professionally with all internal/external contacts
10. Must be SQF compliant at all times
11. Must work with safety in mind at all times
12. Must stay in close communication with shift supervisor and operators
NON ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(These are responsibilities that are not a part of the main function of the
position such as relieving on switchboard, taking out the mail, etc.)
General outside yard maintenance
Be aware of needed supplies and inform shift supervisor
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL LEVEL
(Indicate special knowledge and skill required to perform the job)
High school graduate preferred
Must have some mechanical knowledge
Must have taken all required AIB training
Must have good communication skills
Knowledge of all plant operations
Food experience a plus
Prior sanitation experience a plus
Must be flexible able to work different shifts if needed
SCOPE OF THE POSITION
(Indicate measurable responsibilities)
Successfully filling in for plant personnel upon their absence
Ability to keep all records organized and paperwork flowing
Accurate paperwork, logging all finished tasks
Team training and auditing of personnel
All assigned duties are finished in a timely manner
Available for overtime when needed
Communication skills
Motivational teacher when needed
Ability to prioritize
Ability to multi-task
Good communication with management, Quality & maintenance
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Aid plant personnel in all aspects of operation
Employee team training when noted as senior operator
Employee safety must be maintained and communicated
SQF standards must be communicated and verified
