Our client is a non automotive supplier to the power transmission market who has experienced strong growth over the past two years. Our client is entering new markets which includes increased expansion with a stronger focus into global markets. Our client is winning business from its competitors. Our client's OEM product applications include aerial lift, agriculture, construction, forestry, and marine. Due to an upcoming retirement, our client is searching for a Regional Sales Manager who will sell predominately through an extensive distributor network as well as directly to OEMs in the mobile off highway market. As Regional Sales Manager, you will have 7 states located in the Midwest and South/Southwestern part of the United States as your territory: Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and Louisiana. You will work out of a home based office, and you will travel up to 60% of the time.
In this role, you will be responsible for the following:

Identifying and targeting market accounts, maintaining, and growing those accounts
Developing growth sales funnel to achieve annual growth of 15%
Demonstrating the ability of key account management, using effective sales tools to accomplish the task
Working closely with distributors and distributor field sales to develop and train them on product knowledge, applications and company policies
Developing existing and new customers and distributors
All communication and correspondence with customers and prospective customers
Negotiating prices and purchase agreements. You will manage all sales related business in assigned territory
Your background should include:
Bachelor's Degree focused in Engineering, Management, Business, or Marketing.
Minimum 5-7 years of sales experience in direct OEM accounts and/or Fluid Power Distribution
Specific product knowledge in fluid power, electrical, mechanical or power transmission products serving mobile off highway markets
Strong communication skills a must
A strategic vision, ability to sell engineered solution products and technical knowledge
Ability to achieve profit margin and territory sales objectives
Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time
Candidates will work out of a home office and must live near a major airport. There is no relocation assistance offered.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
