Machine Operator I
This position is for the 1st & 2nd shift-hours are from 4:00am-1:30pm or 1:30pm-10:00pm M-F-the assignment of the work schedule is at the discretion of management and may be determined at the completion of hire.
Sets up and operates a high speed Pacmac and/or Roberts machine.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Reviews production plan to ascertain products to be run on assigned machine. Gathers packaging materials as needed to complete assigned orders.
Sets up and adjusts machine to efficiently run planned products. Ensures that products being produced meet customer specifications for that product.
Notifies maintenance personnel if there are adjustments or operational problems that are more complicated than he/she can correct.
Notifies production management if there are operational problems and/or if the machine is shut down.
Notifies production management if the operator needs to leave the machine unattended for a prolonged period of time and cannot locate a replacement.
Operators will rotate as required by the production management.
Ensures that all safety precautions are taken by anyone working on or near particular machine. Provides instruction to assistants or other production workers in the area on safe operating procedures.
The operators can assist production in simple tasks when able to, however primary job is to maintain a smooth operating machine.

EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Food processing experience preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Must be able to write simple correspondence. Must be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Bilingual English/Spanish helpful, but not required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must be able to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
